Business Litigation / Dispute Services

Forensic Accounting

Forensic accounting services can be provided in a variety of situations from suspected or known financial fraud, assessment of contract compliance and internal control investigations. Financial fraud, the most common form of forensic accounting services, includes:

  • Asset Misappropriation including intellectual, current and fixed assets. Asset misappropriation is possible through many schemes, including, but not limited to, Ponzi schemes, employee embezzlement, payments to fictitious vendors or employees and abuse of company credit cards.
  • Financial Statement Misrepresentation to shareholders, lenders or any other party relying on condition of financial statements to provide services or funding.

Our Team has the ability to use data analytics and accounting software in order to trace the assets and/or uncover the financial fraud in order to demonstrate the financial fraud that has occurred and provide advice on how to avoid similar and other types of financial fraud in the future.

Damage Assessments

Business damage claims are typically necessary in litigation proceedings, although they may also be used for achieving a successful settlement prior to litigation proceedings. Business damage claims can include, but are not limited to:

  • Breach of Contract
  • Diminution in Value
  • Earnings Mitigation
  • Lost Profits
  • Trade Secret Infringement
  • Unjust Enrichment

Expert Witness Testimony

Certain litigation matters require an experienced and credentialed expert to provide expert witness testimony. This testimony can be provided in the form of written and/or verbal testimony through deposition or trial. Our Team has the credentials, experience and training necessary to provide these types of expert witness services. With our experience and training, we are able to effectively communicate the issues involved in our analysis to any necessary party whether it is to a judge, jury, attorney or client.
